You know, all these mutant kids from back then would be around 30 now, give or take. Maybe the “lucky” ones got de-mutated by the Scarlet Witch’s hex and are passing as regular humans now. It’s more likely they got slaughtered by Cassandra Nova’s wild Sentinels on Genosha or murdered by the Purifiers or some other extremist group. If they made it through all that, they might end up getting exterminated by Bastion’s Nimrods in the crimson dome around San Francisco. It’s hard out there for a mutant!
